| 英文描述 | A developmental myelin disorder has been found in Chow-Chow puppies which had a congenital tremor, although no clear familial evidence was available. Signs were first seen at 2 weeks of age, when they had a 'rocking-horse' motion when attempting to walk, hypermetria, and 'bunny-hopping'. There was an intention tremor, especially of the head, which disappeared at rest. The clinical signs plateaued at 6-8 months, and by 1 year of age the animals were normal. On histology there was myelin deficiency, especially in the lateral and ventral columns of the spinal cord. No treatment has been described. Both males and females may be affected. |
